Given this reality, as well as my keen interest in Chinese culture, I wanted to "put boots on the ground" and see for myself what is driving this era of innovation and change. My decision to enroll in Tsinghua's MBA program has been an amazing opportunity to foster my personal and professional growth. As the best university in China, Tsinghua's resources are unparalleled: it's faculty and student body are brilliant, its research in the fields of engineering and science are world class, and access to these departments is welcoming. Secondly, as the political and major innovation center in China, Beijing offers an endless variety of company visits, speaker events, internship/job opportunities to stimulate your creative and entrepreneurial ambitions. Finally, I have made lifelong friendships with my diverse classmates from around the world, enjoying not only the cultural and historical landmarks in Beijing, but taking trips and exploring China as one big family!

Coming to Tsinghua MBA is an eye-opening experience and the best decision for me. Tsinghua is no doubt a number 1 top university in Asia and soon to become the world's leading university. The best thing about Tsinghua SEM is the strong connection with the advisory board where it provides an opportunity for students to meet and learn from the world's top CEOs and many top scholars, an opportunity that I could not get elsewhere. Tsinghua MBA also enhances my knowledge and help sharpen my understanding of China's roots and its economic. This program guides me, I could see myself transforming and improving in term of both soft and hard skills. I learned a lot of new strategies and way to avoid making mistakes from experience sharing session with both international friends from all around the world and local Chinese friends. This helps widen my business and management perspective in dealing with business challenges. Furthermore, Tsinghua MBA also offer real life hand on experience for its student where we can apply all the skills and strategies that we learned in class into the real business world. Everyone gets to consult and do an IPP project with the real company. All in all, coming to Tsinghua MBA is not only help me understand China better but also a life changing experience for me. When I first entered the Tsinghua Global MBA program, I was both excited and afraid of joining the class. I was relatively young compared to my classmates, and I wasn't sure if I would properly fit in. As a person who has lived in Hong Kong, Canada and America, Mainland China was going to be a completely new experience for me. I had my worries, but everything went very smoothly for me. The MBA office was very welcoming, and the abundance of events has allowed me to adapt to the new environment quickly. Every week, I would have opportunities to listen to a variety of guest lecture speakers from all over the world. In my undergraduate studies, many classes don't translate directly into the real world. However, in Tsinghua MBA, I actually feel like my classes and materials correspond to the real-life business environment. I had a variety of company visits, I had the opportunity to participate in case competitions for esteemed companies, and I had the chances to understand the business setting in China.

In addition to the vast opportunities, Tsinghua MBA also introduced me to a group of wonderful students. Most people were older than me, but I never felt the age gap when I was interacting with my classmates. I would have never imagined having friends from Thailand, Switzerland, Germany, Venezuela, and Singapore all in the same setting. Everybody was very welcoming, and I have a fantastic experience with my fellow classmates. Having to study together, work together, and travel together created an unforgettable experience in my MBA school life. Sometimes there would be tight deadlines for multiple projects but struggling, learning and growing together with my MBA friends allows me to jump through these hurdles successfully. Tsinghua Global MBA has provided me with one of the most memorable experiences in my life and I hope to spread the love and the support I have received from this school to people around the world.

Studying in the Tsinghua-MIT Global MBA program is about developing a global mindset. For that purpose, I strongly believe that understanding Chinese culture and business is of crucial importance. China is going to be the world's largest place of consumption, and that engine is going to drive the world economy for decades to come. I am truly astonished by the achievements that China has made in only a few short decades; the country is continually moving from low-cost manufacturing to a sophisticated information-rich society with more and more high-end products and services being developed. At the same time, numerous Chinese IT giants (e.g. Baidu, Tencent, Alibaba or Bytedance) are emerging to challenge America's dominance in technology. The rapidity with which new trends are realized over e-commerce and mobile applications – faster than in any other country – is incredible.

The Tsinghua-MIT Global MBA program has allowed me to dive deeply into China and to profit from a world-class Chinese and American business education.
