In the remarks of Professor QIAN Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM, he expressed warm congratulations to the graduates and their families and friends, who stood behind and supported them during the last 18 months. He recalled that in November 2006 he signed the collaborative agreement on this joint venture with Frank Brown, then Dean of INSEAD in Shunde Building of Tsinghua SEM. “Both of us became Deans in the second half of 2006, and that signing of the agreement was the first for each of us since taking on our new roles”. Nine years later, the TIEMBA program already has 354 alumni and participants from 40 countries and is ranked globally No.1. He was pleased with the result but not surprised because he taught every TIEMBA class the course of “Macroeconomics and the Chinese Economy” in the last nine years and he knew the quality of the students and the program.  He said that the multicultural and international backgrounds, professionalism and intellectual curiosity of the students made deep impressions on him.
