I would like to especially congratulate two students for their best performance in terms of GPAs, and three other students for their achievements in writing the best theses.  I congratulate them for their exceptional academic achievements in this program and for receiving the much-deserved Dean’s List Award and Outstanding Thesis Award.  This would not have been possible if they did not love what they were doing and if they did not refuse to settle for being the second-best.  To the rest of you, I’d like to share with you a quote from Mr. ZHU Rongji, the founding Dean of Tsinghua SEM and China’s former premier: “In my years as a student at Tsinghua, I was happy to receive okay grades while participating more in social and leadership activities.”  So you also have very bright future.
