On December 1, 2012, the 2012 China MBA Business Case Competition final, hosted by the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University,Tsinghua Management Review and Management Scientists, was held in the Weilun Auditorium. Teams from Singapore, Macau and Taiwan, together with thirteen teams from Mainland China, gathered on Tsinghua campus. The Chengchi University team from Taiwan dwarfed all competitors and won the top prize. Teams from Tsinghua University and the University of Hunan won the second prize. Beijing University of Telecommunications, Tongji University and Xi’an Jiaotong University ranked in the third place. DANG Jiao from Xi’an Jiaotong University won the best individual prize.

Through campus tryouts and semi-finals in 6 divisions throughout China, sixteen teams went into the finals, which consisted of fourteen advancing teams and two guest teams.
Five cases were selected for the finals, includingYixin, HP’s Financial Road, Haier—Reaching “Win-Win” by the “Individual-Goal Combination” model, POWERLAND—the Home-Returning Leading Chinese Luxurious Brand, Shannxi Tour Group–Rediscovering the Essence of Guanzhong Culture, and “Ronghe Wine” Phoenix-Like Comeback. All of the above were adapted based on the real problems of enterprises and under the guidance of China Business Case Center of Tsinghua University.
