Marvin Lai holds EMBA from the TIEMBA program at SEM, MSc in Financial Management from University of London, MA from Macquarie University, MSc in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and BSc in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. He has over 25 years’ experience in financial services (venture capital & private equity), technologies (telecommunications, IT), and consumption, etc. He is responsible for Burgeon Group’s principal investment and management consulting businesses and advises LionRock to further its origination and capital raising initiatives and ES Capital Group to excel its strategic investments. Prior to Burgeon, Lai was Senior Partner at ES Capital where he was responsible for its Asian Principal Investment Advisory (PIA) and private placement opportunities. Prior thereto, he was Partner at iTM Ventures where he headed its principal investment businesses overseeing investments in telecommunications, consumption, and technology sectors.
