In this semester, Professor Bin Yang, his 15 Teaching Fellows, and his 200 students began a heroic, and perhaps historic, venture to launch the new required course we named “Critical Thinking and Moral Reasoning.” I believe that it is the first of its kind in any Chinese universities. “Justice” at Harvard is listed as "Moral Reasoning 22.” We name it "Critical Thinking and Moral Reasoning” to emphasize the "critical thinking" aspect. It is a part of a great experiment in undergraduate education currently under way in our school.
