An alumni reunion of the TIEMBA (Tsinghua-INSEAD Dual Degree Executive MBA) Program of SEM took place at Hong Kong during February 25-27, 2011. The reunion was organized by Sylvain Martino, Jane Liu and Zann Lim. This is the first TIEMBA reunion initiated by alumni students.
The Program was jointly launched by Tsinghua SEM and INSEAD in 2007, since when it has graduated three classes. Participants include 160 current students and alumni from 29 countries.
TIEMBA alumni forum
53 alumni took part in the Hong Kong reunion. During the event, Randel Carlock, INSEAD’s Senior Affiliate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise, delivered a lecture on high-performance team management. James Chen, Co-Chair of the Chen Yet-Sen Family Foundation, gave a themed speech. Participants also organized an alumni forum on entrepreneurship as a strategic behavior.
On February 27, SEM and INSEAD co-held an enrollment induction session in Hong Kong. Participating alumni of the reunion also showed up on the induction and explained about the TIEMBA Program.
Alumni refreshing friendship
“How time flies. We have graduated from SEM a whole year. We are happy to reunite here with teachers and fellow students…though the time of gathering was short, we achieved a lot. Next time, we look forward to reunite in Tainghua to celebrate the 100th anniversary,” said LOU Feng, General Manager of Greater China at Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, an 2008 TIEMBA alumnus.
