Carl J. Schramm, President and CEO of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, visited Tsinghua University with delegation.
Vice President XIE Weihe of Tsinghua University talked with Carl Schramm about the achievements of Chinese entrepreneurs, their innovative endeavors, entrepreneurship education and the influence of above factors on Chinese economy.

Professor LIAO Li, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM, gave an introductive talk to the delegation about the China Training Program for Entrepreneurs hosted by the China Center for Financial Research.
The Schramm delegation then visited companies started by participants of the training program. Carl Schramm showed intense interest towards the operational models, innovations and potentials of these enterprises. He commented that China would be the most dynamically innovative area in the world.

After the visit, Carl Schramm, the “evangelist of entrepreneurship” as called byThe Economist, delivered a speech titled “Entrepreneurship, the Key to Economic Growth” at Tsinghua SEM to over 400 audience.
In the lecture, Schramm explained the roles played by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in promoting entrepreneurship. He also elaborated on how to cultivate a culture that appreciates innovation and favors the development of entrepreneurship.
During the visit, Carl Schramm was invited to become an Honorary Advisor of China Training Program for Entrepreneurs at Tsinghua University.
