Dean QIAN Yingyi participated in the CEMS Annual Events 2010, hosted by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, on December 2-4, 2010 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Tsinghua SEM became an Associate Academic Member of CEMS, The Global Alliance in Management Education in 2005. Currently, CEMS has 27 member schools in total. It only accepts one member school from a certain country.
As part of the 2010 Annual Events, a symposium on social business and new capitalism featured the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Muhammad Yunus, founder of Grameen Bank, as the guest speaker, who stressed the importance of corporate social responsibility in his speech.
During the Events, Professor Doctor Thomas Bieger from the University of St. Gallen was nominated as the new Chairman of CEMS.
Besides, 27 Deans and Rectors of member schools also presented the CEMS MIM diploma to 431 graduates in 2010.
