Tsinghua SEM hosted the third national Strategic Management Academic Forum where a range of topics concerning “theories and practices of strategic management in the post-crisis era” were discussed.

More than 80 scholars from over 30 institutes around China participated the Forum, including Professor WEI Jie, WANG Yihua, XUE Lei, SHI Yongheng, LI Donghong and WU Rui of SEM.

A total of 24 papers were taken by the forum.

Professor WEI Jie, Chairman of the Forum, Chairman of SEM’s Department of Business Strategy and Policy, welcomed guest participants. In the speech, he said, innovation is a necessary way of development for Chinese enterprises, and innovation could only be promoted through the building of lab economic systems and the reform of talent education and management methods.

After a series of themed speeches, eight scholars from five universities delivered their academic papers, which were then discussed by participants.

Professor LI Donghong, Vice President of the Department of Business Strategy and Policy, concluded the Forum by another speech, suggesting scholars to combine in their future researches both China roots and a global vision.
