The Tsinghua-Berkeley Global Technology Entrepreneurship (GTE) Education Program invited student mentors to meet with students and listened to their presentation of business innovations.
The GTE Program was launched in fall 2009, co-initiated by Tsinghua University and UC Berkeley College of Engineering’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (CET). It is the goal of both partner institutions to universalize entrepreneurial knowledge and develop the world’s next technology leaders.
Partners and entrepreneurs from around twenty venture capital companies participated in the event to communicate with GTE students.
The meeting was hosted by Dr. Anthony St. George from UC Berkeley. He explained the features of the GTE Program, followed by a review of the first Program’s outcome and mentor network made by Tsinghua professors. Faculty members expressed gratitude for mentor investors from a variety of areas and conferred GTE Mentor Certificates to them.
After meeting with the mentors, students demonstrated their innovative business plans.
At the end of the event, Dr. Anthony St. George spoke highly of Tsinghua students, complimenting their performance and entrepreneurial passion. He also thanked the University for its efforts throughout the collaborative GTE Program.
