The Center for Customer Insights at the Yale School of Management and the China Retail Research Center co-held a 2010 China India Consumer Insights Conference at Tsinghua SEM.
The China India Consumer Insights (CICI) Program is initiated by the Center for Customer Insights at the Yale School of Management. It aims to study consumption and investment behavior in developing countries, drawing global talents into cooperation. Last year, the 2009 conference was held at Yale.
This year’s event was hosted by Professor K. Sudhir, Director of the CICI Program. Professor CHEN Guoqing, Associate Dean of SEM and Director of the China Retail Research Center gave a welcome speech. Dean of SEM Professor QIAN Yingyi also delivered inaugural remarks.
The topics discussed on the themed forum of the conference included the Development of the media and cultural consumption in China; core competitiveness of Chinese department stores; and Chinese consumer behavior analysis.
After the forum, there were also a discussion saloon and two academic seminars, where guests and scholars exchanged ideas on consumer insights related topics and general business issues.
