A series of EMBA “mobile campus” events were carried out in Guangzhou during May 12-16, 2010. Participants included around 200 students of three 2009 EMBA classes, as well as 60 students in the Media Training Program.

Mobile campus events have been a distinctive feature of Tsinghua EMBA Program. It allows students to study outside the classroom, exploring local economic situations and investment environment, exchanging ideas with political leaders and entrepreneurs. There have been 33 mobile campus activities since the outset of the EMBA Program, covering 29 cities around China.

As part of the recent mobile campus activity, students visited several local alumni enterprises. There were four routes of visits that had been decided by the EMBA Program before the event for each participant to choose from. Chosen enterprises included leading domestic companies in the airline, manufacturing, and real estate industries. During the visits, participant students also conducted in-depth communications with the managerial executives.

Students also took part in lectures given by Professor BAO Zheng and Professor LIAO Li, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM.

On the evening of May 15, all participants of the mobile campus were present at an alumni banquet meeting of the Guangdong Alumni Association. Professor LIAO Li and SI Xianmin, Chairman of China Southern Airlines, a Tsinghua EMBA 2006 alumnus, delivered speeches at the banquet.

The mobile campus also included a “Creative Show” that collects and demonstrates ideas to celebrate the 100^thanniversary of Tsinghua University.
