WANG Xingbao, a 2009 SEM MBA student, won the men’s singles at the 2010 Kaisheng Cup Badminton Championships of Tsinghua University, which took place on May 22 and 23, 2010.

LIAN Yuan, another 2009 MBA student, and DONG Jiang, a student from the School of Law, won the runner-up of the men’s doubles.

CAI Jianjun and CHEN Danping, two 2008 MBA students, though knocked out half way through the mixed double matches, performed remarkably in their final competition against the mixed double winner team.

The Championships is the largest badminton individual competition in Tsinghua University, drawing hundreds of participants each time.

More than ten members of the Tsinghua MBA badminton club (students in 2008 or 2009 classes) participated in the competition. The club, initiated in 2008, now hosts more than 150 members. It conducts training on weekly bases and regularly send members for exchanges and competitions.
