27 current EMBA students and EMBA alumni gathered in Beijing to attend the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). They discussed and exchanged opinions concerning national issues and contributed suggestions.
Among EMBA alumni, LIU Shaoyong, President of China Eastern Airlines, answered Premier WEN Jiabao’s appeal about “accelerating the corporate reform of large state-owned enterprises” by suggesting a legislation that defines national strategies in the development of the civil aviation industry.
Other alumni and students also raised a range of bills concerning heated topics such as low-carbon economy, agriculture, rural areas and farmers, education, medical reform and regional economic development.
As one of the best EMBA programs in China, Tsinghua SEM’s EMBA education has been holding “cultivating industrial leaders, forming the future of Chinese enterprises” as its mission. EMBA students and alumni are constantly active in different areas, upholding both self-discipline and social commitment. The spirit of Tsinghua University is demonstrated in their hearty participation in political affairs.
