The Career Development Center held a special career development seminar on January 13 for returning exchange students graduating in 2010. Participants included senior undergraduates, second-year master’s students and second-year MBA exchange students. On the seminar, the center introduced previous records of job hunting results and employment opportunities, employment policies and procedures, and provided job seeking guidance as well.
The seminar is designed for students returning from overseas studies. All materials used are designed especially prepared for their needs.
In recent years, the number of exchange students in Tsinghua SEM has been constantly increasing, including undergraduates, graduates and MBA students. Career Development Center have analyzed and summarized the employment records of exchange students in past years. They expect to sooth the anxiety caused by the lack of employment information among existing students and help them prepare themselves for the job hunting season.
The schedule of the seminar included: an sharing of past employment statistics in past four years; and analysis on the fall and spring semester campus recruitment fairs; an introduction to the employment policy and paper work procedures and a summary of job hunting trainings held during the students’ exchange period.
