The Chinese Women's Entrepreneurial Management Program has graduated its first class as the graduation ceremony was held at Tsinghua SEM on May 26, 2009.
The first intake of Chinese Women's Entrepreneurial Management Program is a group of 50 female participants. Courses are taught by faculty from both Tsinghua SEM and HEC-Paris. With average age 31, 12% of the partcipants hold master degree; 52% of them hold bachelor degree. Participants are from diverse industries including education training, information service, cultural communication, consulting service, entertainment, retailing, agriculture, etc..
The Chinese Women Entrepreneurship Forum was held on the same day.
The program was sponsored by Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women initiative, which will train the Chinese women who aspire to or currently operate their own business, aiming to provide them with the integrated entrepreneurial and managerial education with a global perspective. The Women's Entrepreneurial Management Program, which will run for five years, will include workshops, seminars, classroom teaching, mentoring and guidance in producing business plans. Curriculum will focus on business practices in entrepreneurship, marketing, management, and finance. The next intake will take place in autumn of this year.
