Tsinghua SEM and HEC-Paris have jointly celebrated the 10^thanniversary of cooperation between the two schools on September 25.

The day of the anniversary was called “HEC-Day”, when faculty from both Tsinghua SEM and HEC-Paris as well as representatives from the French embassy to China gathered at SEM to review the fruitful achievements made bythe two leading business schools respectively in China and Europe during ten years of cooperation.

“The blend of the two cultures, values and practices added to the understanding of the reality and helps making better economic and social decisions. That’s why we are especially proud of collaboration between HEC-Paris and Tsinghua SEM”, said Bernard Ramanantsoa, Dean of HEC- Paris.

The cooperation of Tsinghua SEM and HEC-Paris began in 1998. During the past decade, the two schools have carried out extensive cooperation in fields of faculty and student exchange, academic collaboration, and MBA/EMBA education as well as executive development program. One of the featured cooperative programs-----the “Advanced Management Program in Fashion & Luxury,” opened in 2006, has graduated three classes. The latest cooperation between the two schools is the “10,000 Women Initiative Programme” sponsored by the Goldman Saches, which aims to provide underserved women with integrated entrepreneurial and managerial education as well as broader international perspectives. Courses of the program is jointly developed and taught by the outstanding faculty of Tsinghua SEM and HEC-Paris.

“I foresee the successful collaborations between Tsinghua SEM and HEC-Paris over the past decade will be steadily continued and expanded in the coming years. The joint efforts of our two schools will contribute to the advancement to the management education in the world in a unique way”, said Qian Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM.

The Forum of “the Global Vision of Chinese Multinationals” was held on the afternoon of “HEC-Day”, where Mr. Hubert Testard,Minister Counsellor of French Embassy to China; Professor Xie Weihe, Vice President of Tsinghua University and Professor Qian Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM delivered addresses at the forum. Renowned experts from industry and academia includingWu Yibin, Managing director of the Legend Holdings; ProfessorJean-Paul Lar?on,Senior Associate Dean of HEC-Paris; and David Daokui Li, Director of China Center in the World Economy delivered speeches at the forum.
