180 new participants have joined Tsinghua EMBA Program as the School held the opening ceremony of EMBA Class of 2009 on September 23, 2009. Dean Qian Yingyi, Associate Dean Yang Bin, Associate Dean Chen Guoqing, Associate Dean Liao li, who's also director of Tsinghua EMBA Program, Associate Dean Bai Chong-en, Associate Dean Xia Donglin, and Associate Dean Zhu Yan attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Associate Dean Yang Bin.

With average age 40, participants of 2009 EMBA Class have 21 years business experience on average. Most of them are from business community and government departments. On the day the School also saw the opening of a new class of Tsinghua EMBA-Citigroup Scholarship Media Training Program. 125 elites from major media agencies across the country and some of the leading international media agencies participated in the 5^thclass of the media training program.

The 2009 EMBA Welcome Gala was held on the evening of the day. After the welcome session, the new EMBA participants will take part in an outward development training program in the next four days.
