On October 26, SEM post-graduate LI Xiangyu took gold in the event of the Men's 800 Meters Final at the 11^thNational Games which took place in Shandong Province.

LI has won the champion title in the event of Men’s 800 Meter Sprint at 10^thNational Games. “To defend the champion title at the National Games is the goal that I have accomplished, and now my final goal is the Olympic Games, ” said LI Xiangyu, who’s now studying at the Department of Business Strategy and Policy of the School.

17 Tsinghua students took part in the 11^thNational Games. In addition to LI Xiangyu’s champion title at Men’s 800 Meters, LIU Tong (Class 86 for Business Administration) took silver at in Men's 4x100 Relay; WANG Xiaoxu (Dept. of Marketing) won the third place and the fifth place and the seventh place respectively in Men's 4x100 Relay, Men's 4x400 Relay and Men’s 400 Meter Sprint. LIU Qing (Dept. of Business Strategy and Policy) won the fourth and fifth place respectively in Women’s 800 Meters and 1500 Meters; LIU Tianyou (Dept. of Marketing) gained the fourth place in Men's Air Rifle; LI Jinlong (Class of 66 for Business Administration) won the fifth place in Men's 4x100 Relay; HU Kai (Dept. of Business Strategy and Policy ) won the eighth place in Men’s 100 Meters.
