60 outstanding junior students majoring in Economics across China have gathered at Tsinghua as the 3rd All China Economics Major Students Summer Campus kicked off here at Tsinghua SEM on August 17.

During the four-day summer campus activity, faculty from the Department of Economics including Bai Chong-en, Li Zinai, Chen Zhangwu, Wang Yijiang, Li Hongbin, and Wen Yi took part in the summer campus and had full communications with participating students. On August 18, students went on a day long trip to Shishahai Lake and had a dinner party there. A paper defense session was held during August 19-20.

Launched in 2007, the summer campus activity was organized by SEM's Department of Economics, aiming at providing outstanding undergraduates with economics major a platform for deeper understandings about the Economics discipline. Applicants are required to be the third-year undergraduates, with excellent academic record and extraordinary research potential, and aspire to pursue further study in economics in the future.
