Tsinghua SEM has held its 2009 on-campus job fair on April 2. Organized by SEM Career Development Center (CDC), Thursday’s job fair targeted at 2009 SEM graduates, with more than 30 companies taking part in the fair, providing nearly 600 positions for internship and full-time job. Employers included renowned corporations such as Zhongrong International Trust Co. Ltd, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau, Thomson Reuters, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Limited, China Wanhe Holding Co.LTD, Hp, Beijing Huaqi Information Digital Technology Co., Ltd, etc.. Nearly 300 SEM students attended the job fair.

CDC has strengthened its links with relevant companies to ensure graduates have sufficient job opportunities since this year’s job market has been greatly impacted by the expanding global financial crisis. The number of companies attending this year’s job fair is twice as much as the same period of last year. And there’s an increase of the employment rate compared with last year.

CDC usually organizes 1-2 on-campus job fairs respectively in spring and fall semesters annually. Organizers said they will hold another job fair providing internship opportunities in particular in the end of this April.
