Executive Vice President of Intel Corporation Arvind Sodhani has visited Tsinghua SEM on March 26, and delivered a speech entitled "Investing in Innovation & Opportunities in China".
In his speech, Sodhani reviewed Intel’s investment history in China, introduced Intel’s investment strategy in the country , as well as challenges and opportunities the company is facing in the context of current financial crisis. Sodhani said the upcoming four to five years will bring best chances for investing in China as the country’s economy is developing in a healthy way since the government has strengthened its supervision and management on foreign investment.
Sodhani answered students’ questions after the speech, speaking highly of student’s fluent English and broad horizon.
Arvind Sodhani is executive vice president of Intel Corporation and president of Intel Capital. He received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. He joined Intel in 1981. Sodhani was elected vice president by the board of directors in May 1990, served as senior vice president from 2005 to 2007 and was promoted to executive vice president in December 2007. He became president of Intel Capital in March 2005. Sodhani also served as a member of the NASDAQ Stock Market, Inc. board of directors from 1997 to 2007. He currently serves on the board of directors for SMART Technologies, Inc.
