Professor Qian Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Global Foundation for Management Education (GFME), effective January 1, 2009.

The Global Foundation for Management Education (GFME) is a not-for-profit organization, registered in Canada. GFME is a joint initiative of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). The mission of the GFME is “to identify and address challenges and opportunities in, and advance the quality, content, and development of, management education and practice worldwide.” GFMEBoard of Directors consists of 15 individuals selected to represent AACSB International, EFMD and from around the world.Dean Qian is the only member of the board from China.

Dean Qian Yingyi also serves on the AACSB Board of directors. He is the board's only member from Asia.
