Tsinghua SEM has welcomed nearly 20 Tsinghua EMBA alumni who are attending the annual sessions of National People’s Congress (NPC) and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on March 9.
At the invitation of the School, deputies from the Chinese top legislature and the country’s top advisory body took part in a discussion session concerning the hot issues of current affairs, bringing their insights with participants on the relevant proposals at the NPC/CPPCC sessions. School leaders attending the discussion session included Dean Qian Yingyi, Associate Dean Yang Bin, Executive Associate Dean Chen Guoqing, Associate Dean Chen Zhangwu, and Associate Dean Liao Li, who’s also in charge of the EMBA program.
Among all the deputies attending this year’s annual sessions of NPC and CPPCC, 27 are from Tsinghua EMBA community, including 21 NPC deputies and 6 CPPCC deputies. EMBA alumni deputies exchanged their views on their NPC/CPPCC proposals and the latest development of their own industries with the participating professors at the session.
Since its inception in 2002, Tsinghua EMBA Program has trained more than 2000 students, the most among EMBA programs in China. Students are mainly from executives of leading state owned enterprises, domestic private businesses and multinational corporations, and 84% of them are above the vice general manager level and 58% are presidents or general managers.
