The result of the 1st National Graduate Technological Entrepreneurship Business Plan Contest was announced on October 26, 2008. Team A1 from Xiamen University took the first and won a business start-up fund of RMB 60,000 sponsored byGSR Ventures.Council Chairperson of China Association of Inventions and former Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Zhu Lilan, and Vice Chairmen of the University Council Professor Zhen Yangkang conferred the award to the victory team.

The event was co-organized by Graduate School of Tsinghua University, School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University and Research Center for Technological Innovation of Tsinghua University. Open to all post-graduate students across the country, the contest aims at promoting the cultivation of innovative talents, the transformation of technological innovation to technological entrepreneurship as well as the transformation of scientific and technological achievement from institution of higher education into productivity. Launched since May 25, 110 teams from 26 institutions of higher education across the country participated in the preliminary round of the contest, six of them reached the final.
