Tsinghua SEM has welcomed 194 new EMBA participants as Tsinghua EMBA Class of 2008 has held its opening ceremony on September 24, 2008. Professor Qian Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM, Professor Yang Bin, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM, and Professor Liao Li, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM and director of EMBA program attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Associate Dean Yang Bin.

The 2008 EMBA class consists of 194 participants from 29 provinces and regions across the country, with average age 40. Students have 18 years business experience on average, and 92% of the participants are from the senior manager level or above of their companies. On the day, the School also saw the opening of the 4^thclass of Tsinghua EMBA Scholarship Media Training Program. 91 participants from major domestic media agencies and overseas media Beijing Office joined the Program.

Dean Qian Yingyi, and Associate Dean Liao Li delivered speeches at the ceremony. Representatives from the new and senior students also made presentations at the session, sharing with audience their experiences and viewpoints.
