Professor Song Fengming has received the 4th Award for Outstanding Teachers of Beijing Institutions of Higher Education. A total of 11 faculty members from Tsinghua University won the honor this year.

Professor Song Fengming has been serving on the faculty of Tsinghua SEM since 1988. Courses he teaches include Finance Engineering and Commercial Bank Management, etc..The course of Finance Engineering was recognized with the honor of both Chinese National and Beijing Outstanding Course in 2006. Honors and awards Professor Song has won include the first prize of Beijing Award for Excellence in Research in Philosophy and Social Science(2001), Excellent Faculty Member of Tsinghua University(2000), Award of "Good Teacher, Helpful Friend” by Tsinghua University (2001) and Bao Steel Award for Excellent Teachers (2007). His classes were recognized with the honor of "the most valuable classes" in a SEM graduate survey.

The Award for Outstanding Teachers of Beijing Institutions of Higher Education is conferred to faculty members with both high academic capability and excellence in teaching in institutions of higher education of Beijing. The recipients of the Award are announced by Beijing Municipal Education Committee each year.

Professor Li Zinai from the Department of Economics of the School won the 2nd Award for Outstanding Teachers of Beijing Institutions of Higher Education in 2002. So far, 39 faculty members from Tsinghua University have won the award.
