Participants of the Advanced Management Program in Fashion and Luxury Take Part in Paris International Experience

Participants of the Advanced Management Program in Fashion & Luxury who had attended the Paris seminar during May 15-27 have come back to China recently. During the one-week Paris international experience, participants attended workshops and conferences given by experts and leaders from IFM and HEC-Paris. They visited hotspots representing the flavor of design and fashion in the city like LV's flagship shop and its workshop, some fashion and luxury stores including renowned brands like Agnes B, Berluti, Collete, Marc Jacobs,Mauboussin. They also visited Georges Pompidou National Center for Art and Culture, Grand Palais Museum, formal residence of Coco Chanel, and Baccarat Crystal Museum; they also visited French department store chain Printemps and talked with the CEO. During the Paris seminar, participants had an unique opportunity to attend the lecture delivered by Vincent Bastien, a professor in Marketing at HEC School of Management,who had been the CEO of Louis Vuitton for six years and had also been the CEO of Yves Saint Laurent Parfum.

Participants' French friends were impressed by the wisdom and the depth of the participants' thoughts. The management staff members of the Advanced Management Program in Fashion & Luxury have received letters from the CEO of French department store chain Printemps Mr. Paolo De Cesare, President of HEC-Paris Alumni Association-Branch for Fashion and Luxury Mr. Alain Caradeuc, and Professor Vincent Bastien at HEC-Paris. In their letters, they spoke highly of the participants saying they would like to come to China for further communications with the program's participants in the future.

When the delegation stayed in Paris, China was experiencing the test of relief work after the devastating earthquake in Sichuan. Some participants of the Advanced Management Program in Fashion & Luxury and their companies have already contributed money or relief materials to the disaster-hit areas. All the members of the Paris delegation stood in silence during the National mourning day to show their condolence for the victims.
