Dean Qian Yingyi was invited to on Board of Directors of AACSB with the tenure from 2008-2009. Meanwhile, Dean Qian has been invited to attend the April board meeting in Hawaii. This is the second corporation between Tsinghua SEM and AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) after Tsinghua SEM achieved AACSB accreditation in April and held AACSB international conference in May, 2007.
AACSB International is a not-for-profit corporation of educational institutions, corporations and other organizations devoted to the promotion and improvement of higher education in business administration and management. Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest serving and largest global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. Its founding members include 16 U.S. top universities such as Columbia University, Harvard University, New York University, University of California at Berkeley, University of Chicago, and Yale University, etc.. The seal of AACSB is a sign that the bearer has earned a superior level of quality distinction among an elite group of peers. So far, Tsinghua SEM is the only business school in Chinese mainland with AACSB accreditation.
