Tsinghua SEM has welcomed its 2008 EMBA Class (Spring) recently. The opening ceremony was held on March 26, 2007. Dean Qian Yingyi, Executive Associate Dean Chen Guoqing, Associate Dean Yang Bin, and Associate Dean Liao Li attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Associate Dean Yang Bin.
The 2007 EMBA class consists of 193 students from across the country including 28 provinces and regions as well as Canada, Australia and South Korea. With average age 39, students have 17 years business experience on average, and 84% of the participants are from the vice-managing director level or above of their companies.
Dean Qian Yingyi and Associate Dean Liao Li delivered speeches at the ceremony. Representatives from the new students also made presentations at the session, sharing with participants their experiences and viewpoints. The welcome reception was held at Tsinghua Science Park after the ceremony.
Tsinghua EMBA Program was launched in 2002. It pursues the missionof“cultivate business leaders to shape the future of Chinese enterprises” and combines cutting-edge management theories with Chinese conditions with a view to training high-level management talents that are innovative and competitive in the global arena. Since its inception, Tsinghua EMBA Program has trained more than 2000 students, the most among EMBA programs in China.
