The 2nd annual conference of China Association for Information Systems(CNAIS) was held atKunming,YunnanProvince duringNovember 9-10, 2007. Over 200 scholars from home and abroad attended the conference. Professor Chen Guoqing, Vice Executive Dean of Tsinghua SEM served as the Conference Chair. Professor Dennis Galleta, Director of Association for Information Systems (AIS) and Professor Michael Myers, former Director of AIS attended the conference and delivered speeches.

The 2nd CNAIS Council was elected during the conference. Professor Chen Guoqing from the Department of Management Sciences and Engineering continues to serve as CNAIS Director. Professor Huang Jinhua was elected the executive member of the CNAIS Council. The theme of CNAIS 2007 Annual Conference is "Theory and Application of Information Systems Studies in China", aiming at exploring opportunities and challenges in technologic and management aspects during China's informationization process as well as some important questions concerning theories and application in information system at present time.
