OnDecember 8, 2007,ExecutiveDevelopmentProgramCenter(EDPCenter) and Center forChinain the World Economy (CCWE) jointly hosted the 3th China Policy Roundtable Forum--"17th CPC National Congress: New Direction and Challenges forChina" at Shunde Building of SEM.
CCWE Director, Professor Li Daokui presided over the discussion. Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of CPC Central Committee, Zheng Xinli and Secretary-general of the China Research Foundation for Economic Reform, and Director of the National Economic Research Institute, Fan Gang gave in-depth analyses on issues concerning new directions and challenges facingChinaafter 17th CPC National Congress. The forum was seen by over 40 participants who were senior officials and high-level managers from international companies and foreign governmental organizations such as BP, Shell,Toyota, Schneider, Thomson, ICBC Credit Suisse Asset Management, and Belgian embassy, Canadian embassy, the Benelux Chamber of Commerce and Chinese Business Chamber of Canada.
China Policy Roundtable Forum is a quarterly event, taking place in March, June, September, and December each year. High-level government officials, business leaders and influential academicians were invited to deliver keynote speeches at the forum. Its targeting audience includes high-level managers of international companies and senior officials of foreign governmental organizations.
