The number of incoming exchange student grows fast in the past sequent years and reaches a peak high this fall semester. 76 exchange students from over 30 partner schools all around the world are studying at Tsinghua SEM this semester. The students come from theUnited States,Canada,South Korea,Japan,Spain,Italy,Sweden, andSwitzerlandand so on. Among 76 exchange students, 50 students join International MBA program, others join undergraduate program and graduate program.

This is the first time Tsinghua SEM hosts such large amount of overseas students. In order to help the exchange students to quickly set down their life at Tsinghua SEM, the International Office organized the first Orientation for incoming exchange students from September 14^thto 16^thwith the help of students union.

The Orientation started at self introduction of the students and a brief introduction ofTsinghuaUniversityandSchoolofEconomicsand Management by International Office.

The exchange students are thrilled and excited about the upcoming exploration to Chinese culture and study life at Tsinghua SEM. Campus tour and lunch with current students in the dinning hall help them to be familiar with Tsinghua environment and students’ life.

The practical information section in the afternoon prepared by International MBA program and Academic office helped the exchange students to understand the practical information in academy and resources of Tsinghua SEM, such as course selection, internet use, etc.

The exchange students joined the Closing Ceremony with MBA students on September 15th.

On September 16^th, a culture adventure to theForbidden CityandTiananmen Squarestarted. The Orientation ended in a happy and exciting tasting traditional Chinese dinner and the students went to shopping downtown non stop.
