Tsinghua-UTS Sports M.A. Program has graduated its third class of participants onOctober 27th, 2007. Professor Yang Bin, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM, and ProfessorRob Lynch, Dean of the Faculty of Business,UniversityofTechnology, Sydney (UTS)attended the commencement and delivered speeches. Liao Zhongyi, Vice-director of the Sports Department of Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, who is participant of the third class of Tsinghua-UTS Sports M.A. Program, made a presentation on behalf of the graduates.

As the first international master’s program in sports management inChina,Tsinghua-UTS Programis a cooperative effort betweenTsinghuaUniversityandUniversityofTechnology Sydney. The latter has rich experience in training professional sports administrative personnel, and produced many masters of sports management for the Athens Olympics Organizing Committee.

Launched in 2003, the Tsinghua-UTS sports M.A. program is designed for senior managers with training and experience in international sports management. The MA program courses include such subjects as event management, sports marketing and analysis of the Olympic Games. The third class of Tsinghua-UTS Sports M.A. Program brought together many outstanding persons in Chinese sports community. Most of the participants served on positions that have relations with Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The Tsinghua-UTS Sports M.A. Program has graduated two classes successfully. Some renowned persons in its first class are world badminton champion Ye Zhaoying, world shooting champion Xiao Jun, and famous TV sports programme anchor Shen Bing.
