The 2007 Annual Retail Forum, hosted byChinaRetailResearchCenter, Tsinghua SEM, was held onOctober 30, 2007with the theme of "the Future of Retail Industry."

Professor Chen Guoqing, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM and Director of China Retail Research Center presided over the opening ceremony. Professor Xie Weihe, Vice President of Tsinghua University attended the ceremony. Keynote speakers at the forum included Leslie Dach, Executive Vice President of Wal-Mart Stores, internationally renowned expert in retail industry, Professor Barton A. Weitz from University of Florida, U.S., Guo Geping, Chair of China Chain Store & Franchise Association, Sun Weiming, President of Suning Appliance Group, and Jin Yuhua, President of Beijing Modern Plaza.

Academicians and industry professionals exchanged insights and cutting edged ideas on future of retail industry at the forum. The annual retail forum has been held twice and has become one of the most influential forum on retail industry.
