Tsinghua SEM has welcomed 587 new students to its graduate programs onAugust 30, 2007.This includes 110 from master program, 53 from Ph.D. program and 424 MBAs. Among them are 71 international students representing 10 countries including U.S. Canada,Germany,Australia, thePhilippines,South Korea,JapanandSingapore, etc.. The opening ceremony was attended by Professor Qian Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM, Professor Yang Bin, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM, Professor Zhu Hengyuan, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM and Professor Li Fei from Department of Marketing. Assistant Dean of Tsinghua SEM Professor Qian Xiaojun presided over the session.

Dean Qian Yingyi and Associate Dean Yangbin addressed the session. Student representatives also made presentations at the meeting.

Later in the day, Tsinghua SEM new graduate students attended the opening ceremony hosted by the University at the square in front of theMainBuildingtogether with more than 4000 new graduate students from other departments.
