From May 21 to 25, a delegation comprised of more than 50 EMBAs from HEC-Paris, led by Sylvie Gueye, director of the HEC EMBA program, visited Tsinghua SEM, with five-day full schedule of a series of business, social and academic activities.
For most of the students with this delegation, it was their firstChinatour. At Tsinghua, HEC students attended special lecture classes by Prof. David Daokui Li on the rise of Chinese economy in the world, Prof. Wang Yijiang on human resources management inChina, Prof. Bai Chong-en and Dr. Di Ruipeng on Financial market and Chinese enterprises' strategy. In addition, Dr. He Hui from Bain Capital, Gong Yaling, partner of Baker & McKenzie, Xu Sitao, chief China representative for the Economist Group also delivered speeches to HEC students, topics involving the significance of Olympic Games to China's development, legal problems concerning doing business in China, and foreign direct investment.

During their stay inChina, HEC students also visited Dangdai Group, one of leading companies inChina's real estate industry, and Huaqi Information & Digital Technology Company-- an outstanding native hi-tech enterprise inChina.
HEC students attend class at Tsinghua SEM
Founded in 1881, HEC Paris, is not only a leading business school inFrance, but is consistently ranked among the top business schools worldwide. The school, which has long-term cooperative partnership with Tsinghua SEM, had sent separately two delegations to Tsinghua in May and November, 2006 for the course of "Doing Business inChina." The two schools also jointly developed the Advanced Management Program in Fashion and Luxury last year. The program is the first of its kind inChina. It opens its first class in September, 2006 at Tsinghua SEM and is planed to be held once each year.
