Tsinghua delegation, consisting of graduate students from SEM took the top title at the 1st Consulting Case Study Contest for Beijing Higher Institutions on Dec.15.PekingUniversity(undergraduate team) got the runner-up; Renmin University of China(MBA team) andPekingUniversity(MBA team) won the third.

The contest is the first of its kind inChinathattook the real and original cases in Chinese enterprises as its study objectives. The six competing teams, supported by the Organizing Committee of the Contest, had been conducting research and investigationat Chinese local enterprises since July 2005, gaining first-hand materials there after months' efforts.

Distinguished scholars and business leaders were invited to attend the contest as commentators and judgers, including associate Prof. Hu Zuo-hao from China Business Research Center of Tsinghua SEM, Dr. Han Jian from Dept. of organization management ofGuanghua school of management ofPeking University, Prof. Huang Wei-wei from school of business ofRenmin University of China,Zhao Tian-le, Secretary General of CEC-CEDA Management Consulting Committee, as well as senior Management staff members from renowned consulting firms like Roland Berger, ALLPKU, Ninesage, H&J vanguard, etc..

The seminar of MBA’s consulting education was held after the contest, focusing on three topics: the firm's demand for human resources and the students' demand for management education; how to cultivate actual-combating MBAs; how to establish the platform for cooperation between companies, universities and consulting firms. Prof. Wang Yi-hua from Dept. of Business Strategy and Policy of Tsinghua SEM delivered a speech at the meeting.
