LIN Zhijie, a tenured associate professor of Management Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM), was recently invited by top international information systems journal MIS Quarterly to serve as its Associate Editor.
LIN Zhijie
MIS Quarterly was founded in 1977 and is recognized as one of 24 UTD journals. Its goal is to strengthen and exchange knowledge on the development of IT services, the management of IT resources, and the use, impact, and economics of IT.
LIN Zhijie is a tenured associate professor and a Ph.D. supervisor at Tsinghua SEM. He is also a standing director of the China Information Economics Society (CIES), director of its Youth Work Committee, and deputy director of its Platform Management Professional Committee. He has received grants from the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, as well as the Excellent Young Scientists Fund.
LIN received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the National University of Singapore, and his research interests include the economics of information systems and the management of digital platforms. He has published more than 30 articles in journals and newspapers such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Marketing, Production and Operations Management, Guangming Daily, and Economic Daily, 10 of which have been published in UT Dallas 24 journals, and he has been cited more than 2,700 times on Google Scholar. As well as being the Associate Editor of MIS Quarterly, LIN is also the Senior Editor of Journal of the Association for Information Systems. He has also won many awards, including the Academic Newcomer Award of Tsinghua University, the WU Jiapei Grant of CIES, Award of the Systems Engineering Society of China (the Young Scholar Award), the Youth Award of the Chinese Academy of Management, and the INFORMS ISS Sandy Slaughter Early Career Award.
LIN's invitation to serve as the Associate Editor of MIS Quarterly signifies that his research achievements and academic performance have are well regarded by his peers at home and abroad. Such an achievement also demonstrates the important support provided by Tsinghua University and Tsinghua SEM in promoting discipline development, cultivating and supporting the growth of outstanding young teachers, and building an academic highland with international influence. It will also further enhance the international academic influence of Tsinghua SEM, assist in the construction and development of relevant disciplines in the school.
ZHANG Xiaoquan, Irwin and Joan Jacobs Chair Professor at Tsinghua SEM, Executive Associate Dean of the Shenzhen Institute of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, and Executive Associate Dean of the Innovation Management Institute of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, and Associate Professor YI Cheng from the Department of Management Science and Engineering have previously served as the Senior Editor and the Associate Editor respectively.
