Dean Qian said, “In 2002, Tsinghua SEM initiated its EMBA program. Today, under collaboration with INSEAD, we launch TIEMBA, which is the first program of its kind on Chinese mainland. It is innovative in that it confers dual degrees. Until now, we have had three kinds of EMBA program in China: one only grants Chinese degrees, as many B-schools in China do; the other confers international degrees only, as the EMBA programs in Fudan University and Lingnan (University) College Sun Yat-sen do and another is the TIEMBA, which boasts of all English-taught courses and dual degree.“
With the deepening of economic globalization and accelerated development of Chinese economy, more and more senior managerial persons have come toAsia, especially toChina, to seek a better development space. Meanwhile, economic globalization has brought tremendous opportunities and challenges to local Chinese enterprises. Therefore, middle and high level managerial persons have a higher demand for the authority and quality of EMBA education, through which they expect to get a comprehensive understanding of the characteristics of Chinese economy and corporate management as well as the international market operation and business rules.
The incoming TIEMBA is just dedicated to meet this demand. It will provide middle and high level managerial persons from MNCs and government agencies, who are well educated and experienced, with a comprehensive, systematic and internationalized education.
Tsinghua SEM is a pioneer inChina'smanagement education and it has collaborated with many world-class business schools like MIT Sloan andHarvardBusinessSchool. With its unique feature, the Tsinghua-INSEAD Dual Degree Program will be another milestone event in the process of Tsinghua SEM's internationalization.
The first TINSEAD program is scheduled to open onJune 8, 2007.
