Zhang Shengsheng, vice president of Lai Gang Group delivered a speech at theSchoolofEconomicsand Management,TsinghuaUniversity, onDecember 4, 2006, with the topic “Construction of Learning Organizations and Super Development of Enterprises".

Mr. Zhu Hengyuan, Associate Dean of the Tsinghua SEM, held talks with Mr. Zhang before the lecture.

Mr. Zhang began his speech with a detailed introduction to the history of Lai Gang Group, one of the largest steelmaker inChina. Lai Gang was established in 1970, and transformed in 1999 into a company of limited liability. During the recent five years, Lai Gang has been developing rapidly, created the splendid "Lai Gang Speed”.Mr. Zhang attributed Lai Gang's progress to the construction of learning organization by the Group.

Mr. Zhang also talked in the speech about the opportunities and threats facing the Chinese steel industry, and how to speed up the internationalization process of Lai Gang in the future.

Mr. Zhang answered questions from the audience about the steel stock and the technology adopted by the steel enterprises after the speech. The lecture was wrapped up by wonderful comments made by Mr. Zhu Hengyuan.
