Held in the presence of senior representatives of Tsinghua SEM (Associate Dean LIAO Li and Professor XUE Lei, Director of Executive Development Program), HEC Paris (Associate Dean JP Lar?on), Institute Fran?ais de la Mode (M. A. Wang), and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Mrs G. Maratier-Declety), the opening ceremony for Advanced Management Program (AMP) took place at Tsinghua SEM on 22 September, 2006.
Liao, on behalf of Tsinghua SEM, delivered congratulations to the open of AMP. He said, “As the rapid development of economy and society, China has been one of the major fashion and luxury products consuming markets in the world. Although fashion and luxury industry has become one of the most potential sectors in China, comparing with internationally top counterparts, a big gap exists, especially in the area of enterprise brand designing”, emphasizing,“ to meet the high-level requirement, fashion and luxury industry needs such advanced management program.”
The objective of the program is to provide opportunities for managers of the fashion and luxury sectors to develop the knowledge, international perspective and managerial skills required to enhance their company’s competitiveness, innovative capabilities and brand reputation.
A group of 51 participants, coming from various industries like fashion & luxury products (ETAM), apparel, home decoration (Boloni), cosmetics (L'Oréal), etc., attended the activity.
It is said the first six seminars of the AMP in Fashion & Luxury will be taught at Tsinghua SEM between September 2006 and March 2007. This series will be followed by a unique “International Experience” in Paris aiming to understand the essence of Fashion & Luxury Industry (May 2007) and more contact with leading companies, designers and institutions.
