The annual academic conference (CNAIS2022) of the China Association for Information Systems (CNAIS) was held online from December 2 to 4, 2022. The association represents the mainstream of the academic community in management information systems in China. The theme of this conference was "information system innovation and management in a transitional era of digital intelligence." The conference explored a series of new development opportunities and profound challenges that China's information systems sector is facing against a background of revolutionary applications for big data and artificial intelligence technology and significant advances in intelligent algorithms; changes driven by China's 14th Five-Year Plan; an outline of long-term goals for 2035; and strategic initiatives for the digital economy, data elements and governance. It also enabled in-depth and extensive exchanges and discussions of issues such as the transition from "datalization" to "digital intellectualization."
Several professors at the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM) played important roles in the conference, with Professor XU Xin as the co-chair of the conference; Professor GUO Xunhua as the co-chair of the organizing committee; Professor FENG Juan as the vice chair of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), and who delivered a speech at the opening ceremony; Professor LIN Zhijie presiding over the CNAIS2022 Young Scholars' Paper Workshop; and Professors WEI Qiang and YI Cheng serving as the track chairs of sub-forums of the conference.

The conference was organized by the School of Business and Management of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) and supported by the Association for Information Systems (AIS), the China Information Economics Society (CIES) and other organizations.
