CFA Institute delegates meet with Tsinghua SEM representatives.
CFA Institute's Paul Moody, managing director of Global Partnerships and Client Solutions, visited the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM) with a delegation on the afternoon of April 24, 2023. His delegation included Nick Pollard, managing director of Asia-Pacific at CFA Institute; David Zhang, China country head; Iris Wu, director of Institutional Partnerships in China; and CHEN Shijie, manager of Institutional and University Cooperation in China. The group met with XUE Jian, vice dean of Tsinghua SEM; LIU Chun, academic director of the Master of Finance program; and WANG Hao, associate professor of the Department of Finance, to discuss and exchange ideas and further deepen cooperation.

During the meeting, XUE Jian, on behalf of the school, welcomed the delegation from CFA Institute and expressed the school's desire to further explore cooperation in student training and career development. XUE acknowledged the successful collaboration between the Master of Finance program and CFA Institute and expressed hopes to build upon it. Paul Moody emphasized the significance of the collaboration with Tsinghua SEM and expressed appreciation for feedback received from the program. He reiterated the commitment to advancing cooperation in various areas, including research projects, curriculum development, and career development for students.
During the discussion, extensive time was given to the collaboration between the Master of Finance program and CFA Institute. This included topics such as the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program, financial ethics courses, and various collaborative initiatives. The participants delved into detailed conversations about the important reforms in the CFA exam, joint development of new courses, the possibility of inviting CFA charterholders as industry mentors, and participation in the China Financial Analysts Competition.
After the meeting, the delegation went on a campus tour with guides selected from among the Master of Finance students.
